Virtually: Jill Johnson Speaks at the Philanthropy Advisors of Color Convening
Our very own Jill Johnson, Co-founder and CEO, was invited to be a guest speaker at Philanthropy Advisors of Color Convening. She appeared virtually to discuss this year’s theme, strategizing about how our roles in influence, advocacy and direct action can mobilize more resources for impactful progress.
Her panel focused on how philanthropy can support “inclusive entrepreneurship” for historically underrepresented populations. Jill touched on the topics of relationship capital, long-term funding, mentorship and how IFEL addresses these important aspects of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In their discussion about strategies for community led economic development, all panelists agreed that access to capital needs to be more equitable.
